Visão geral da língua
A língua haida (Hlg̱aagilda X̱aayda Kil no dialeto de Skidegate, X̱aad Kil no dialeto de Massett) é uma língua indígena isolada da família de línguas da América do Norte. Falada pelo povo Haida no Canadá (Ilhas da Rainha Carlota, Colúmbia Britânica) e no Alasca (Ilha do Príncipe de Gales), tem cerca de 275 falantes e é considerada ameaçada.

Regras de numeração do haida
Agora que teve uma visão geral dos números mais comuns, vamos passar para as regras para escrever as dezenas, os números compostos, e porque não as centenas, os milhares e além (se for possível).
- Os algarismos de zero a nove têm nomes específicos: sgwáansang [1], sdáng [2], hlgúnahl [3], stánsang [4], tléihl [5], tla’únhl [6], jagwaa [7], sdáansaangaa [8] e tláahlsgwáansangguu [9] (o que significa dez menos um).
- As dezenas são formadas alternadamente justapondo a palavra para dez e o seu algarismo multiplicador, e multiplicando a palavra para vinte: tláahl [10], lagwa uu sgwáansang [20] (20*1, ou tláalaay sdáng, o que significa 10 2), tlaalee hlgúnahl [30] (10 3), lagwa uu sdáng [40] (20*2), tlaalee tléihl [50] (10 5), lagwa uu hlgúnahl [60] (20*3), tlaalee jagwaa [70] (10 7), lagwa uu stánsang [80] (20*4) e tlaalee tláahlsgwáansangguu [90] (10 9).
- Os números compostos são formados pondo primeiro a dezena, depois a palavra wáak (mais), e, em seguida, o algarismo da unidade (exemplo: tláahl wáak sgwáansang [11], lagwa uu sgwáansang wáak tléihl [25]).
- As centenas são formadas por adição e multiplicação do número vinte: lagwa uu tléihl [100] (20*5), lagwa uu tláahl [200] (20*10), lagwa uu tláahl wáak lagwa uu tléihl [300] (20*10 + 20*5), lagwa uu tlaalee sdáng [400] (20*10*2), lagwa uu tlaalee sdáng wáak lagwa uu tléihl [500] (20*10*2 + 20*5), lagwa uu tlaalee hlgúnahl [600], lagwa uu tlaalee wáak lagwa uu tléihl [700], lagwa uu tlaalee sdáansaangaa [800] e lagwa uu tlaalee sdáansaangaa wáak lagwa uu tléihl [900] (800 + 20*5).
- Os milhares são formados pondo o multiplicador seguido pela expressão por mil, à exceção de mil: lagwa uu tlaalee tléihl [1 000] (20*10*5), lagwa uu tlaalee tléihl wáak sdáng [2 000] (20*10*5*2), lagwa uu tlaalee tléihl wáak hlgúnahl [3 000] (20*10*5*3), lagwa uu tlaalee tléihl wáak stánsang [4 000] (20*10*5*4)…
- O número um milhão forma-se da mesma maneira: lagwa uu tlaalee kwan o que significa literalmente mais do que pode ser contado, e mil milhões multiplica-o por mil (lagwa uu tlaalee kwan wáak lagwa uu tlaalee tléihl).
