David Joshua Peterson

Después de estudiar la lingüística en la Universidad de California en San diego (obtuvo una Maestría en Artes en 2006), David J. Peterson cofundó la Language Creation Society que promueve los idiomas construidos. Luego ha sido seleccionado por el canal HBO para crear el idioma dothraki para la serie de televisión Game of Thrones, e inventa muchos idiomas para la televisión, el cine y la literatura.
Tiene en su haber el dothraki, el alto valyriano y sus derivados (Game of Thrones, La casa del dragón), el castithan, el irathient, el indojisnen, el kinuk’aaz y el yanga kayang (Defiance), el shiväisith (Thor: El mundo oscuro), el sondiv (Star-Crossed), el væyne zaanics (The Zaanics Deceit), el lishepus (Dominion), el trigedasleng (The 100), el Verbis Diabolo (Penny Dreadful), el munja’kin y el inha (Emerald City), el noalath (The Shannara Chronicles), el orcish (Warcraft: El Origen), el nelvayu (Doctor Strange), el vōv (para la ópera del mismo nombre), el övüsi y el bodzvokhan (Bright), el azrán (Into the Badlands), el afata, el g’vunna, el gandal y el veda (Arena of Valor), el yulish (Las crónicas de Navidad, 1 y 2), el achaiano y el tala (Another Life), el Hen Linge (The Witcher, The Witcher: La pesadilla del lobo), el engála, el tpaalha, el lalyáz, el mimignaqs, el wokuthízhű, el sarkezhe y el haughòf con la Dra.
